Meet Erik

Erik has spent over a decade in HR, often juggling multiple responsibilities — but compensation is the one that stuck. Over the years, he’s built a reputation for bringing structure, clarity, and a sense of calm to the often chaotic world of pay.
He’s worked in organizations where the compensation structure technically existed, but didn’t hold up under real-world pressure. He’s helped revise outdated practices, standardize titles and salary ranges, and guide teams toward strategies that actually support their goals. Along the way, he’s written plenty of Excel formulas, crafted practical policies, and made it a little easier for teams to make good decisions about pay.
CompCatalyst is where Erik shares the tools, ideas, and frameworks that have worked for him — and might work for others, too. Right now, it’s simply a space for sharing and supporting. If it becomes something more, the goal will remain the same: keep it useful.
